Somero Back to Life

After the holiday season, Somero was back to life and busy this afternoon. Perhaps it was just my imagination, but there seemed to be a positive mood in the air. I went food shopping, to the health centre and for a coffee with Heidi - and people seemed to be in the mood to chat all over the place.

I really like the fact that in Somero you can go anywhere in town and people have the time to talk to each other. It's one of the reasons that I fell in love with this town when we moved here 18 months ago.

It's been slushy today. The temperature is above freezing and mild for the time of year, so the snow is melting fast at the moment. To be honest the sky has been a bit grey, but despite that Somero is smiling.

Minttu was also in a good mood. Santa may be gone for another year, but in her book that's no reason to stop partying. She put her dressing up clothes on and surveyed the town from my bedroom window. She, like me, is very proud of her home town and hopes that those of you who have not been here will write "visit Somero" on your list of things to do this year. if you do, you definitely won't regret it.
