Welcome Baby Tiana!

Baby Tiana born at 5am on 12 February 2013 in Salo

When you get a call at four o'clock in the morning you know that something important is probably happening.

Well it was, Saskia was at the hospital in Salo giving birth to her daughter, Tiana.

I am happy to say that everything went smoothly, and both Mum and baby are doing well. In Finland babies are not traditionally given their name until the christening or naming ceremony, but in England babies are named at birth, and in this respect Saskia is following the English tradition as she doesn't like the idea of her baby being without a name, even for a few weeks!

Her daughter is called Tiana Millie Alexandra, and already has a very determined look on her face.

Lots of love and congratulations to Saskia, while I get used to the idea of being a grandmother.... Does that make me officially old now? In any event....welcome to the world Tiana!
