A cat enjoying the sun |
Last night, at about two o'clock in the morning, we were in bed when we heard a very loud growling noise followed by a thud as something fell from somewhere.
When we woke up this morning we saw that it was a whole pile of snow that had melted away and fallen off the garage roof. Good news! This is definitely the start of spring.
To celebrate this fact we went out for a walk this morning and enjoyed the sunshine.
Here are some pictures of what we saw to prove that the winter is coming to an end.

And it's getting warm! Yay!
Hold your horses,ladies!(Oops!,horses..-again..)Mette,on the channel 3, just forecasted sleet and some snow showers later on the coming week. But indeed, temperatures should remain on + degrees C - hopefully the spring is coming,at least swinging.(An old Finnish proverb:'Kevät keikkuen tulevi..')

Old Finnish phrase, conserning weather of spring time: "New snow is killing the old one", tells almost everything. Usually, duoring spring, weather is very variable, new wet snow or sleet seems to fasten melting of snow. Of coure it is not true, also the new snow demands sun energy for melting.
Sea is not fully covered by is, it seems to me that sring will be comparably short period in this year.
Another phrase: "Vaihtelee kuin Huhtikuinen sää" "Her (his) mind is unstable as april weather".
